Román, como muchos guitarristas se inicia en la música por culpa de Jimi. Forma su primer grupo con sus amigos de secundaria "The Idiots" hasta que los vecinos les echan. Entre 1992 y 2002 forma parte de varias bandas, entre ellas Parkinson D.C. hasta que decide emprender un viaje estepario. A principios de 2008 aparece "Vía Láctea" su primer disco en solitario. Román compone, escribe, toca todos los instrumentos, canta, hace los arreglos, produce, es técnico de sonido y productor. En diversas canciones ha contado con la inestimable ayuda de Irene Tiemersma (voz), Andreu Revilla (bateria), Narcís Passolas (compositor de un tema, teclados y percusion), Miri Ros (voz), Mike Garson (piano, célebre colaborador de David Bowie), Lluís Esteva (piano), Guillem Baladia (piano), Bárbara Gil (letrista), Rafa Romero (saxo alto), Marc Romera (guitarra y voz) y Oriol Roset (saxo tenor y soprano). ENGLISH: Román Gil is a musician and guitar player from Barcelona. Years ago -around 1988, he discovered "Are you experienced" and fell in love with Jimi so he wanted to play guitar. And so he did and played with several bands. "The idiots" was his first one with his friends and classmates Anton, Marc and Eduard. "Apple Starking" did covers by Cream, Allman Brothers, Hendrix, Canned Heat. "Apple Band" was a Beatles covers' band. He did lots of gigs with these two bands around Barcelona circa 1992-1996. In 1997-98 he joined the late Parkinson D.C., one of the greatest bands in Barcelona ever. The band did their last spanish tour in 1998 and disbanded soon after. Maybe because he's always been a Bowie fan, Román wanted to be a composer of songs and when he discovered Brian Wilson's music around 1993 it was clear that this was his quest. Some time ago he decided to work as a solo artist doing all the recording process by his own at his home studio. Sigo muy preocupada con este tema, y ya han pasado meses...
No comprendo que pretende, ni cuales son sus verdaderas motivaciones, la verdad, cada dia entiendo menos todo esto, pero aunque no me llame y no sepa nada de él... siempre apoyaré a mi hijo incluso en una locura como esta.
