Rollin' down out of the hills and hollows of Humboldt County, CA. comes a group of friends on a mission to save country music from itself. In our lifetime, we've noticed the steady deterioration of the music that told the stories and hardships of our everyday lives. What happened to songs that ment something and actually prevoked emotions we've all felt at one time or another?
Todays Country music is a corporate glamor show that falls in with the ranks of Barbie, and Britney Spears. Country music no longer wants to be your kin, your neighbor or your drinkin' buddy like it has been for over 75 years, it wants your money. It has turned it's back on the people that made it.
Seek out and support the folks that are trying to keep it real. The old guys, the new guys, the songs you hear that make you say," I'd invite 'em over for dinner." or "I'd have a drink with 'em down at the bar." These are the folks that sang your dad's, your grandpa's and maybe even your great grandpa's songs. There's a reason we all still pull out those old albums when it's rainin' or when we're gonna play a round of poker over a couple of beers. It's our roots. GET YOUR SONG BACK!
CURRENTLY SEEKING A NEW PRACTICE SPACE IN THE ARCATA AREA!
It was great seeing you guys at the Grove Thursday night. Everyone enjoyed themselves! I'm going to submit that CD of yours to the High Sierra Music Festival.
Good luck you guys on your album! The Vet's hall show was great! Listen to the Placebo Addiction Radio show that I host at blogtalkradio.com/placeboradio on Mondays at 6pm. See ya! Jo
Hey fellas, the show at Vets Hall was "hot" and Graham, the banjo sounded great-- we could actually hear you play! Heard you got a new foot petal. Have a great show at the Grange, bummed I can't make it. Cheers!
Whoot Whoot! Break those freaking chains. I am super bummed that you guys played so early at the roller derby. I was stuck in the bar trying to get a drink, and drink it quickly. Oh well... when is the next show??
Thanks for the add, y'all. I'm sorry Nate's family members were killed by an eagle. Thanks for playing with us at Humbrews last month. Had fun, Had fun. Eric from Silent Guants
