Computers, MST3K, scrapbooking, swimming, reading, hiking, foreign languages, martial arts, video games, going to the beach, rollerbladeing... I'd also love to and plan to learn how to surf while I'm in Cali.
Movies
(Does MST3K count as movies?) I love cult, horror, comedy and animated films. I don't like crude humor to the point of sheer stupidity and unoriginal romantic comedies. A Lot Like Love, When Harry Met Sally, And Just Friends are some of the bare few romantic comedies I enjoy. A short(ish) list of Heather-approved films, based on part of my movie collection: A Christmas Story, Amadeus, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Emperor's New Groove, Goonies, Ice Age, Interview with A Vampire, The Joy Luck Club, The Labyrinth, Lion King, Lion King 1 1/2, Little Shop of Horrors, The Mask, A Midsummer Night's Dream, October Sky, Pirates of the Carribean trilogy, Shaun of the Dead, Spiderman trilogy, Star Wars (The original trilogy), Lord of the Rings trilogy, Unleashed, V for Vendetta (an absolutely AWESOME movie).
I haven't seen many of the classics, or hardly anything the general public deems a Great Movie, so I'm embarking on a quest to see these things and stop looking like a cultureless blob when talking about movies. I'm also going to dip my foot into foreign films.
Television
MST3K!!!!!! House is my new addiction. Spaced recently came to DVD, making it second only to MST3K on my go-to DVD list. In no particular order I also love I Love Lucy, MythBusters, Rocko's Modern Life, Quantum Leap, the Golden Girls, Big Bang Theory, and on and on.
Books
The Bible,The Canterbury Tales, the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, Portrait of Dorian Gray, The Cat Who series, Stephen King, Micheal Crichton, anything by Mike Nelson, A Year At The Movies: One Man's Filmgoing Odyssey by Kevin Murphy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Edgar Allen Poe...if you're really all that interested in talking about books then just ask because this list could be insanely long. :)
