Ross Dacko is an acoustic pop/folk rock artist. He has worked professionally with Don Henley, Garrison Keillor, Robert Quine, David Garza and Melissa Ferrick. He has performed as a featured artist for The New York Songwriters Circle and at NYC’s The Bitter End, The Knitting Factory (Knot Room) and Mercury Lounge. He has extensive recording studio experience as an engineer, assistant engineer (worked at Westrax Studios under Peter Link), and session player. Ross maintains a professional recording/mixing studio and has a lengthy history as a songwriter/recording artist. Ross is an active performing member of the New York chapter of Musicians On Call (Musicians On Call uses music to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers.www.musiciansoncall.org), and regularly plays bedside at hospitals in NYC.
2008 News for Ross: featured artist on "Homegrown Music", NPR/PBS affiliate station WVIA in PA (May 2008); featured artist on Time Warner Cable 6’s "Poughkeepsie Live" TV show (May 2008); completed a AAA radio campaign in 2008 that was met with good success with playlist adds at over 50 stations nationally, in Canada and in Germany; featured artist on Rutgers University "Click Radio" (Tim Daily's "Daily Dose Live", April 2008); currently in the studio recording/mixing next album, "Women & Restaurants". He recently performed at The Ledyard State Fair in CT, and will be performing at the North Amherst Harvest Festival September 28th. In September Ross was awarded an ASCAPLUS Award from The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
