ROSS DACKO NEWS: See him and the band play live on Time Warner Cable’s "Poughkeepsie Live", May 8, 2008 on Channel 6. Hear other radio broadcasts of Ross on Rutgers University Click Radio (March 11 podcast of Tim Daily’s "Daily Dose Live"). Look out for details on his upcoming performance on PBS/NPR affiliate station WVAI, where he will perform on George Graham’s "Homegrown"show. -----
An accomplished recording artist and industry professional, Ross has four acoustic pop/rock records to his credit, his latest release being MASTER AND THE MONKEY. As a performer he has worked with Don Henley and David Garza. In July he performed as a featured artist for The New York Songwriters Circle. An active volunteer for Musicians On Call in NYC, Ross plays bedside for hospital patients as part of the healing process (see more below). In the studio he has worked with Robert Quine and Garrison Keillor, and his on-site recording experience includes work with Melissa Ferrick.
His music is handcrafted, acoustic pop/rock. An album with a varied cast of musicians, it is flavorful and brimming with inspired performances. The lyrics are clever and the hooks resound. Ross’ vocals shine through on each track and range from lounge room intimate to bar room rock. "My songs come from the noise of the street - from conversations, from the unavoidable barrage of media that slams into me daily. I take these ingredients, add melody and then shake and serve. After the first taste I know I either have a song or should toss the whole batch – and maybe keep a few bits for another tune."
A regular on the New York City club circuit, he has played solo at The Mercury Lounge and The Knitting Factory. No stranger to touring, past performances throughout the Northeast U.S. include countless dates at festivals, large-scale charity events, colleges, coffee houses, and clubs. Constant time on stage has primed this artist for touring on a grander scale.
Ross is a performing member of MUSICIANS ON CALL (Musicians On Call uses music to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers.www.musiciansoncall.org). To order the CD digitally:

Hi Ross! Thanks for the friend request. It was nice to meet you at Metrosonic the other night. Your music is sweetly haunting. It has a British flair - do you get that a lot? Stay in touch my friend!
