About RSJ next gig THE ATTIC SUMMER BASH, N'HAMPTON
Spawned in late 2002, RSJ set about constructing heavy groove-laden noise metal. Since then RSJ have released 2 EP's and 2 albums to flawless reviews from publications such as 'METALHAMMER', 'KERRANG!', 'TERRORIZER' and numerous e-zines. Their lastest album (Gain to Nothing) has continued the trend with yet more stunning reviews and contained a host of bonus material including a remix by Matt Wilcock of death metal giants AKERCOCKE. Their video for Deadbolt was also aired on both SCUZZ TV and MTV2’s HEADBANGERS BALL and THE RIOT.
In-between the recordings RSJ have toured and gigged with a wide variety of scene luminaries such as 'SOILWORK', 'BIOHAZARD', 'UNEARTH', 'NMEMIC', 'FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND’ and 'THE BERZERKER’ to name but a few. Along the way the band have proudly secured endorsements with 'ESP Guitars&Basses', HUGHES & KETTNER Amplification', 'BLEUBOLT Streetwear' and ‘ED STONE Clothing'. The end of 2007 saw RSJ proudly win the award for ‘BEST METAL BAND’ at London's GLASSWERK NATIONAL MUSIC AWARDS.
2008 saw RSJ achieve new heights gaining a headline slot on the SCUZZ TV stage at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR FESTIVAL and also the opening slot on THE UNHOLY ALLIANCE TOUR CHAPTER III playing alongside SLAYER, TRIVIUM, MASTODON and AMON AMARTH.
The future is loud, the future is RSJ, you have been warned!
"RSJ are phenomenal with their
vicious Will Haven-meets-Meshuggah clobbering...Its one hell of a way to start the night,...definitely ones to watch for in the future." KERRANG!
"The ability to switch with ease from atmospheric subtlety to an all-out riff storm, the band, are it seems, worthy of the hype” METALHAMMER
"One of the heaviest metal bands from the UK in a long time." NUTS MAGAZINE
"Spine rattling polyrhythms and gargantuan guitars make this the best kind of musical sore thumb..." KERRANG!
