Last Night, True Romance, Serenity, Team America, Blade Runner, Starship troopers, Waydowntown, Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Wes Andersons movies (Rushmore being my favorite), Dawn of the dead (Romero), Evil dead 1, 2, and Army of Darkness, the Castle, Koyaanisqatsi (vs Baraka, which I think is subtly racist. ask me why if you care), Das Boot, Stop Making Sense, Blade, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Scratch, The Corporation, Ghost in the Shell (and the sequel, though the first is better), Ninja Scroll (perhaps the best anime EVER), Alien and Aliens, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Dr. Strangelove, Highway 61, Hardcore Logo, Indiana Jones (the first and third - the second is absolutely rediculous) .. there's more - I'll add if I remember
I'm also a big fan of horror/ gorefest type movies (zombies, Troma, ect), and a pretty big cheerleader for Canadian movies (go Don McKellar, David Cronenberg, Gary Burns!) and if you think they suck, well too bad for you - you're missing out.
Television
I pretty much try and stay away from TV since I believe that it is a huge distraction from real life and that most of the programming is designed to A) Make us feel worse about our own lives and B) idolize some sort of fantasy lifestyle that we will never achieve. If you turn it off and cut yourself free, you eventually stop knowing/caring what shows even exist. Plus, I fucking hate ads. There are a few gems, however, which manage to sneak their way into our home by way of DVD or internet (thank you ipod video)-
Trailerpark Boys, Firefly, Dave Chapelle, Simpsons, Southpark, Family Guy, Sealab 2021... a friend recently burned me all 5 seasons of the X-men cartoon (thanks joe!) -- that's about all that comes to mind at present...

dunno now, was planning on february but i just got an ace job turning schools into cycling schools- basically working with schools to try to get every student and teacher cycling in and out every day. ace. and the pay is pretty great too so gonna have to wait a bit until i ask for time off. but maybe summer now.which might be nicer anyhoo.
