The idea of creation of the band appeared on Feb. 23, 2005, when Valery Voskobovich (guitars), Pavel Filippovich (bass) and Vadim Migutsky (keyboards) decided to unite their musical talents. In 2005 a demo-album named “Hour Of Payment For Sins” was recorded which consisted of 15 tracks. This album was not presented to a wide audience and remained a kind of rarity and good memorable thing for the band.
The band began its existence under the name Sacramental Wine in 2007 and made its first steps on a stage straight afterwards.
In 2007 Sacramental Wine started giving concerts and at the same time working on a completely new material - without regards to the music material composed by that time. Various experiments with styles, composition of tools, variety of vocal performance - all this attracted and united the band’s members. Nevertheless, the creative quest is always connected with the search of people who are interested in changes and development, so the band underwent necessary changes to move forward.
In 2007, a work in the studio on a debut album began. The recording of the instrumental parts was finished, however, a crucial step forward for the band was connected with the appearance of Lilia Ivanova as a new singer, who’s academic voice turned out to be perfectly in line with the wishes and musical vision of the band. During 2008, the band actively rehearses, practices material with Lilia and records new vocal. So, the debut mini-album "Grail of Solitude" finally acquires its form and content. In 2009 the band again tries itself in a new role – the reason of that is the development of musical vision of the band members, and the development and improvement of their means of expression as well.
In autumn Darya Lescheva and Vadim Migutskiy return to Sacramental Wine , which brings additional burst of energy for the whole band.
A number of demo recordings have been made by now, although they have not yet been submitted neither at concerts, nor among the musical production, nevertheless, the band plans to release an INTERNET single and to restart concert activity in 2010, where the new songs will be performed for sure.
