About me:

Samurai Dreams is a movie review zine put out by Greg, Kevin, Andy from Cracks in the Wall), Max and James aka Joly. We review fringe films. Nothing is out of bounds: foreign films, forgotten classics, post-apocalypse fare, Italian cinema, horror, slashers, weird uncomfortable psychological dramas, bad animation, Euro sex farces, out-there documentary, strange kid's movies, tag sale finds, home movies, awful claymation, rip-offs, infomercials, experimental stuff, b-movies, c-movies and especially d-movies. That movie that you saw when you were 9 and it gave you nightmares because it was weird or explicit or boring--we review that. There are five issues out, with 4 and 5 readily available. A mini-zine comp of the first three may come out soon. Contact the creators of the zine either here or by sending an email direct: samuraidreamszine@yahoo.com. We accept submissions of movie reviews, as long as they fit. See the blog for some samples. Oya and the name comes from Cronenberg's Videodrome you dummies. Issue Five is out now! Get em while they're fresh! Reissue of 1+2 coming soon in mini-zine format.

Who I'd like to meet:

Famous actors like Robert Ginty, Meg Foster, Pia Zadora, Wings Hauser and Powers Booth. We want to network with other movie geeks, zinesters, DIY, pretentious idiots, explorers, tag sale/used store, weird people, cool people, losers, the hottest girl from high school, metal bands, creepy old bald dudes who own every movie that came out before 1950, detectives, lesbian vampires, Ray Dennis Steckler... YOU!

i dont know if you ever knew this, but bobcats often grow self-conscious in fear of people making fun of their small tails.

Enjoyed the second issue quite a bit. Hey -- I've been dumping all my old VHS onto DVD-R the past couple of years, and I've grown too lazy to auction off the remainder on eBay. So if y'all want 'em...

ISSUE 2!!! I still haven't finished reading 1, and so far it's been intense pleasure. I want my copy of 2 right away! Hopefully (unlike issue 1) the last three pages won't get stuck together with...uh, marshmallow.

Samurai Dreams saved me from a life of sloth and abandon. Now, when I need to fight propaganda-slinging zombies or pick up homicidal french girls, all I have to do is reference my issue of Samurai Dreams, and instantly I know which movies to watch to solve my problems.
I always keep a copy in my back pocket so I don't even have to get up from my mom's couch to read it!!!
