Serafim Martinov aka SARAFA was born in Varna, Bulgaria which is at the Black Sea. He has lived in many places around the country- Shumen, Dupnitsa for example and the thought of that gives him a smile. He’s been living in Sofia, Bulgaria for the last 15 years, the city he calls “Hells Heaven”. He started listening to rap music at the age of 8. When he was young he was influenced by his cousin and other elders that danced to hip-hop rhythms. In the year of 1999, he met RAKATA and SVETETSA with whom he organized the group called T.Z.R. -Tyk Zaradi Realnostta (Here Because of the Reality). A year later, SARAFA met ANDRE and looked upon him as a genius producer as they started recording music in ANDRE’s house. A few months later T.Z.R. becomes a public fact with its members- SARAFA, RAKATA, ANDRE AND SVETETSA. Since the year of 1999 till April 2006, SARAFA has made over 100 singles/songs/pieces that were recorded at Andre’s studio. In May of 2006, SARAFA, ANDRE AND SHO SHO (SARAFA and SHO SHO have know each other for a long time) gave the beginning of something that three of them had always, even apart, dreamed of- RAPTON RECORDS.
