I'm a birth junkie. I love talking about childbirth; yours or mine, doesn't matter. Click here to visit my pregnancy journal which has my birth and nursing memoirs, as well as my rants on the dangers of elective interventions.
I LOVE FlyLady.net (I ignore her pop psychology and just use the organizational system). If you love FlyLady too, visit our FlyBabies MySpace group
I have more likes and interests than I have time: Pilates, chocolate, baby sign language, cake decorating, crock pot cooking, painting, scrapbooking, antiques, shabby chic, yard sales, PartyLite candles, aquariums, snopes.com (research before you re-post!), board games, afternoon naps, any beach, organizing, labeling things (literally... I love my label maker), ephemera, reading, learning, ballroom dancing (which DH & I haven't done since before our 1st child was born), etc.
I don't have time for much reading like I used to, but I do read my Bible daily.
magazines:
No Greater Joy (free subscription at www.NoGreaterJoy.org)
Above Rubies (free subscription at www.AboveRubies.org)
The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer and Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin were my favorite pregnancy books and should be required reading for every pregnant woman. Educate yourselves and be responsible for your health and safety!
MySpace doesn't have a way to tag & categorize blogs (yet) so I made this table with a select few of my blog highlights. To see the rest, go to the above section and click "view all blogs," then click "older" to see back pages.

Why today's marriages fail, but MINE won't.
I have been a Christian since Dec. 2001. A quick summary of my doctrine is this: the Bible is my final authority in all things.
I have been married since 1999 to my college sweetheart. Rick is a home mortgage consultant and I stay at home with our 4 children. We're currently homeschooling kindergarten.
..
Our 1st daughter, E., was born in a hospital in 2002 (natural, unmedicated birth). I home waterbirthed birthed G., our 2nd daughter, in 2004, and 2006 home waterbirthed J., our son. I tandem nursed E. & G. until they both self-weaned, 3 months into my pregnancy with J. J nursed all through my pregnancy with Evan and is still nursing with his baby sister, K (home waterbirth in 2008).
This means that I have been either pregnant or nursing or pregnant WHILE nursing, every day since January 2002. Click here to view my breastfeeding story.
Here's who I want on my friends list:
family
friends
acquaintances
old friends from school
causes that I support & have selected
new MySpace friends who actually want to get to know me
Other than that, I won't add people who just send a friend request without a message giving a reason for adding me *besides* boosting their friend count, and who won't drop me a note from time to time. Nothing personal. :-) It's just that I don't care to add strangers to my friends list just so I can have a huge number of "friends." I want it to be *actual* friends or someone who I would like to get to know better.
