About Songwriters, Composers And Lyricists Association

SCALA (Songwriters, Composers And Lyricists Association Inc) is a voluntary association which formed on 22 November 1987 in Adelaide, South Australia. It has run a weekly venue for original music since 2nd December 1987. SCALA publishes a regular newsletter for its members, it conducts monthly workshops, runs the annual Festival of Original Music Song Competition (FOOM) and it issues annual CDs with the winning songs.

SCALA's website was established in 1995 and it now has many articles derived from past newsletters which should be of interest to songwriters, composers and lyricists around the world. SCALA's website also has a message board where you can post messages if you are seeking collaboration or if you have information or requests relevant to songwriting, composing and/or lyricwriting.

A 7-day writer's retreat like no other, during which You'll be given personal guidance by Skip and three other multi-award winning hit songwriters.
