HERE IS SOME NICE PRESS ABOUT US!
"We need less boring, boring indie boys! Think we need an injection of snarling grrrl voices? Me too! That's why I'm bloody obsessed with snarling London rawk types Scanners whose singer Sarah is a shining bright star in its ascendancy. They're like all the songs Kim Gordon sings in Sonic Youth, but played by Motorhead at their early-'80s peak. And if that doesn't sound brilliant to you, perhaps it might be worth slicing off your ears and giving them to someone who deserves them, yeah?"
NME
"Scanners might well be providing us with Yeah Yeah Yeahs style thrashy kicks in the new year...dripping with highs and lows...alluring throughout"
Artrocker
"Racously sexy!"
Metro
"Like an anti-Magic Numbers - two boy, two girl outfit cut switchblade-like through the bon-homie. With punching bass lines and tribal drums they roar with gutteral fury. Their infectious tunes are both beautiful and dark as well as upbeat crystalline harmonies... brooding Mazzy Star-like epics... deathlessly sexy electronic pop..."
Drowned In Sound.com
"Stumbling on their set at Beauty Bar while looking for another band, Scanners was the kind of happy accident that makes SXSW such an awesome adventure. Fronted by a raucous female lead singer (Sarah) and a scorching female lead guitarist (Amina), they were a refreshingly feminine jolt of London pop in a festival of bands that can sometimes be dominated by the boys."
Spin.com
"Since the days of Joy Division and the like, nobody has really grabbed the Moog and run with it as well as these two gals and guys. Lead singer Sarah Daly is a little bit Siouxsie, a little bit Stefani and is a darn fine, pitch-perfect, vibrato-free rock-&-roll singer."
La Weekly
"Don't be surprised if Scanners pull off that rare UK-US flip reverse"

i saw you @ berlin. your set hypnotized me. actually i was in a very bad mood but you lifted me up a bit. and now i downloaded "violence is golden". great stuff. some tracks even much better than great, somewhat monumental. i am now officially a fan!
hope to see you very soon in berlin again - this time as a headliner at a less overcrowded venue. please send tons of myspace-bulletins about your triumphant return to berlin as soon as it is for sure. i don't want to miss this. love, dissi. and thanks for your music.
p.s.: i was the weirdo who looked above the backstage-fence and said "hello". at this point i had no clue about how beautiful you are anyway.
Hi guys hows it going? Any chance of a gig in Inverness before the end of the year? Looks like you got some cracking gigs lined up on the european tour.Best of luck with that, can`t wait to read the blogs from it lol Anyways take care Keep in touch Richie
