About me: I started the Scarab 49201 website (www.scarab49201.com) in August of
2004. I knew quite a few local artists and musicians, but kept
hearing people say they were going out of town for something to
do or to buy artwork. What started as a small site, has grown to
include links to local artists, musician and writers as well as
local groups trying to promote the arts and theatre and music
and poetry too!
If a Jackson-Area artist, musician or writer does not have
a site, we will build them a webpage within the site for no
cost. It's all about promoting the good we have in our own
backyard!
We have a local event calendar, that's free to
list events and help promote happenings around town.
