Scott's Interests

| General | Writing; reading. I'd like to dispel the cliché that librarians are boring, but that simply just doesn't seem true with me...watching paint dry seems like a pretty swell day to me, although watching a movie might also be fun. | | Music | Collective Soul; Led Zeppelin; The Doors; Nirvana; The Beatles; The White Stripes; The Who; Johnny Cash; Elton John; The Eagles; Bob Dylan; Bo Bice...don't laugh, we all need one guilty pleasure! | | Movies | Wild Strawberries; Il Postino (The Postman); Dr. Strangelove; The Last Time I Saw Paris; The Gods Must Be Crazy; Roman Holiday, and pretty much everything else with Audrey Hepburn; Some Like It Hot; Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai; The Agony and the Ecstasy; Tae Guk Gi (The Brotherhood of War); Donnie Darko | | Television | The Simpsons; The Office; The Daily Show; 24 | | Books | The Crying of Lot 49; East of Eden; Wise Blood; The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay; Rabbit Run; 1984; The Great Gatsby; Brief Interviews With Hideous Man; Pride and Prejudice; The Sun Also Rises; Mere Christianity; The Handmaid's Tale; Just As I am: The Autobiography of Billy Graham | | Heroes | Jesus Christ |

Scott's Blurbs |
About me:
I'm a librarian, freelance writer (meaning I get paid enough writing to pay taxes on my income, but not nearly enough to make a honest living), and all around disturbed person. I don't enjoy meeting new people, and quite frankly don't like people in general (though I have found some to be quite nice); I like dogs. I have a homepage that is sometimes updated (www.scottdouglas.org), and an email address that I sometimes check (Roboscott7@msn.com). I also have an email address that I often check. I like books, plays and foreign films, and I'm not gay, which is becoming a difficult feat. I also like the color green and the numbers 7, 13, and 21, but I'm not sure why. I'm a conservative Christian, but, by and large, I don't really like other conservative Christians, which doesn't really make sense. Sometimes I wonder if the world really is flat; other times I wonder if the personification of time in Shakespeare’s sonnets meant something deeper or if he was just trying to get laid (I never really liked Shakespeare, btw, but I like Jane Austen); still other times I wonder if Flannery O'Connor and Mark Twain (had he been alive when Flannery was) had a baby, what would it have been like.
