BIOGRAPHY

Scott ‘Kemix’ needs no introduction when it comes to ‘hardtechno’ music. 2008 was a big year for him, where his gigs became more frequent, and is now responsible for breaking parties and events all over the world.

Scott’s interest in music started back in the day, where he moved swiftly from hip-hop to drum n bass. The drum n bass sound he followed for many years and first started to mix on a pair of soundlab dlp3 decks with his friend at the tender age of 17.

As he matured and progressed with his talent, Hardtechno…. Became his life at the age of 25 and he was to live and breathe it every minute of the day. He soon worked out that to get known and respected as an artist in this scene you were to dedicate yourself to this music and this music alone.

The only way he could break through was to start his own imprint and show people that he really did have talent and took this profession very seriously. His very own imprint ‘Giveway records’ was then born in 2005. This label was the start of many things to come.

Giveway Records 002, ‘The killerz e.p.’ started the ball rolling for him getting full support from tekktribe honcho OBI. Three of the tracks from this EP were choose to feature in his mix on the schranz total 15 compilation. From this exposure things started to happen where a very popular Scott Kemix remix of a track called ‘Who Cares’ on [Giveway 004 – ear damage EP] was signed to the Robert Natus mix compilation ‘Schranz & Loops 7’ and again on the ‘Decibel 2007’ mix by Sven Wittekind.

As the label went from strength to strength it has received big support from the likes of: Pet duo, Frank Kvitta, Robert Natus, Sven Wittekind, OBI, Jeff Amadeus, Greg Notill and many more.

Scott now rocks his dark but versatile live set all over the world and has become well known for this alone.

He now also runs ‘Giveway bookings’ exclusively for the UK & South Africa and is a non-exclusive artist with ‘Trivial Bookings’ [Spain]
