My album was recorded with the drumming skills of Overview, the sax/keys/bass skills of Rosco Illa and the turntable mastery of Emonomy.

The live show is sometimes just me but if ya lucky i have the 6ft 2inch Pianist with me.

If your even luckier I have Dan le Sac doing AMAZING live beats behind me.

I am also doing some shows with a great punk(ish) band called I Shouted Gun.

   About Scroobius Pip
THE LE SAC VS PIP ALBUM ANGLES IS OUT NOW!!!
UK on the Left...USA on the right...

The Scroobious Pip went out one day
When the grass was green, and the sky was grey
Then all the beasts in the world came round
When the Scroobious Pip sat down on the ground
The cat and the dog and the kangaroo
The sheep and the cow and the guineapig too--
The wolf he howled, the horse he neighed
The little pig squeaked and the donkey brayed
And when the lion began to roar
There never was heard such a noise before
And every beast he stood on the tip
Of his toes to look a the Scroobious Pip
At last they said to the Fox - "By far,
You're the wisest beast! You know you are!
Go close to Scroobious Pip and say,
Tell us all about yourself we pray-
For as yet we can't make out in the least
If you're Fish or Insect, or Bird or Beast."
The Scroobious Pip looked vaguelyy round
And sang these words with a rumbling sound-
Chippetty Flip; Flippetty Chip;-
My only name is the Scroobious Pip.
-Edward Lear

If you wish to see any of my videos just hunt them down on myspacetv or youtube.com I used to put them on here but can never decide which ones to choose.

I put my debut album, "No Commercial Breaks" out in 2006 and toured the UK in my 1987 space cruiser playing on the streets to people to promote it.

Its no longer available because i only ever pressed 1000 copies.

Sometimes it turns up on ebay.

Have a lovely day.

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001

Where traditions are not so rare;
    Sea, country and works scent the air;
A multitude of monuments,
    Planted tubs and patterned pavements.

The longish pedestrian malls;
    The remnants of defensive walls;
Historic buildings are a gauge
    Of the respect for heritage.

Wheat, rape and pines in the fields;
    Estuaries guarded by shields;
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes;
    Romantic-ruin go-betweens.

Rivers in parts licked by trees,
    Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries,
And crossed by practical delights -
    Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.

Fine churches headed at Durham;
    Football kits ad infinitum;
Kept castles - one for study;
    Masonry behind masonry.

And, with moulding-works out that way,
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Whats the SP?

I sense contradictory movements in your words SP.
On one hand 'thou shalt kill' suggests a reticence to engage with the
capitalist machinery of the music industry, the obvious thought being
"Scroobuis Pip, just a band" eh? While on the other hand 'fixed' seems
to imply that you are hoping to raise your ontological status from
rapper to artist (via poet). Trouble with art is that its a social
construction of 18th century European society used to disenfranchise
the masses from popular expression and frame it as purely the domain of
the intellectual (ubermensch) and something supranatural rather than
everday phenomena. This also allows its comodification and sale, hence
is pervasiveness as a dominant ideology today. The people are left with
their 'folk art' whilst their transition to 'high art' is held up as
aspirational, a 'dream'.

Take
a concrete example from music look at the rise of the Jazz movement.
Originally an underground urban phenomena created wihin African
American communities it was co-opted by european intellectual theorists
into an 'artform'. Theorists began to ponder over its nature, causes
and then to deconstruct its methods and properties. However for the
people who originated the form its was instinctive, immediate,
compelling and...beautiful. It didn't require a theory to understand or
appreciate it it just was. Note the past tense there as Jazz as a form
of urban expression does not exist anymore, you can (unbelievaby) be
taught Jazz at a college, write about it and classify and judge it.
There is something horribly wrong with even the basic notion of being
able to write about music in this way. As the Mark Perry author of punk
fanzine 'Sniffin Glue' once said, "writing about music is like dancing
to architecture".
