BIO~~~~~:
Their albums have been so underground they are subterranean, til now you had to be at one of their shows to pick up any ScullSoup CD's, and most are very rare limited releases. Songs about shitty radio, dragging logs with trucks, and surfing them, and my personal favorite "For all the kids sitting at home in headphones" set a soundtrack close to left of center, heavy, off beat rock. "We are just a rock band that listened to Bad Brains, and Black Sabbath too much" Johnson claims. VanBusCar: "This album basically saved my life"... "Tell the critics to go live in a fucking van and eat shit and die!" Vanbuscar rants..."To me, we are proof, and if you want to do something,, the only thing that keeps you from doing it is.... giving up". Look for the new release "Cream Of Green Scream Sickle" a 17-song CD that brings you along on a sick hayride to The pretty side of puke!!!!!
Scullsoup is a blend of ska, hardcore, punk, and a whole lot of "what the hell was that?" energetic, modern, and unmistakably original - all directions at once. An energetic stage presence combined with their unique style, and lyrical tactness makes for a memorable act for all fans of music regardless of preferred genre. Maybe the best description was written by a reporter in the Metropulse: "an amalgam of metal, punk, and funk" but even he admits "as soon as you think youve got the band figured out theyll do another musical kickflip and this is a good thing." Their stage presence is just as unpredictable - slightly manic live shows are always an adventure, its not just an auditory experience its a visual occurrence as well.
Since their formation they have shared the stage with such accredited names as Everlast, NOFX, Public Enemy, Fishbone, Stinkyfinger, Southern Culture on the Skids, Rednecks In Pain, Antischism, and many, many more. It's that high lonesome piss drunk on rock madness that Keeps their own world guessing just what will ScullSoup do next?
"Scullsoup reminds us that real rock is still alive in this world of generic over produced shit".
-94.3 FM Extreme Radio; Knoxville, TN
"Being fond of mayhem, I would have to list it as one of the best shows of the year"
-Tom Tollison; Knoxville Daily Beacon

Thanks for the add, George! Oh, yes! I've known "troll" ever since August 9, 1973. Please pray for John and the whole world for that matter; it really needs it. Best wishes to you and all your family and friends.
