The Raggajungle Crew "Séance de Danse" was founded by Eddy Grenade and Mighty Melody in September 2005. Feeling the need in their city of Dresden that there was something missing, and wanting to build a completely different party with a positive nice atmosphere, Seance de Dance is still going strong today, receiving support from prolific associates like D.I.S., they threw their 3-year anniversary party already this past October. Under an unmistakeable French title, completely different than all the English names in existence, it ensured that people wouldn't compare them too quickly with what others were doing. When listening to French music it is always full of emotion and different than anything else, completely fitting the vision for what they wanted to promote.
September 2005, Seance de Dance throws their first party in Dresden at the club "Whatever" for the Jungle Mash-up tour 2005 with Lady Lite, Digital Pervert and Raggamuffin Whiteman. Since the first party was one floor, they changed from reggae to jungle nearly every hour, but later in the night the focus went more and more to raggajungle. Motivated by the public response that there just wasn't enough space for the massive in the current location, two years later Seance de Danse events moved to Pushkin Club. On April 28, 2007, Seance de Danse throws their first party in Puschkin Club with Tester and Debaser. Seance de Dance having such a huge influence on the club, being one of the best going party series there.
Since moving to Puschkin, SDD have been doing 2 floors - one with dancehall & reggae and one with jungle. Sometimes in between, in order to connect the massives of both styles of music, once or twice a year they have been making one floor into a "blackboard jungle" room and one into a chillout room, playing some roots reggae & dub. Doing parties in such a way, Mighty Melody and Eddy Grenade are able to educate the people and expand the music scene, joining listeners of similar genres. Proving to be a highly successful method, it is really important for Mighty and Eddy to let the people know that there is a close connection between reggae and jungle. A message that continues to bridge new fans every day through the simplicity of the nice music coming from their parties.
Séance de Danse is very proud to present their Events of 2009 in Puschkin Club again. Especially after it was elected The Best Club of Dresden 2009 already the second time in a row!
