Secondfest is a virtual three-day music festival inside Second Life realised by The Guardian and Intel, featuring live music from offline and online performers, theatre, ballet, cinema, animation and general chaos. It kicks off Friday 29 June at 6pm BRITISH SUMMER TIME (10am SLT) and rocks and rolls until midnight (BRITISH SUMMER TIME) Sunday night.

Two stages for exclusive live music from Second Lifers, including Doubledown Tandino, Clayton Road, Slim Warrior, Tony Moore and Wiredaisies.
Two cinemas, featuring offline blockbusters, BBC Film Network short films and Second Life machinima.

Chill Island is the place to be this afternoon, the Secondlife stage party started with a MASSIVE 2.5hr set from DJ JENNS who filled the SIM and now CLAYTON have filled it again!!!! Try to get in to Chill Island as its definitely the stage to be at this weekend!!!!!
hey, i might be being daft but i can't find any mention of secondfest on secondlife. is there an area put aside or a landmark or something? any help appreciated!
Well rehearsals have progressed big time: Cat has set fire to her drumkit three times now with her smoke bombs, whilst Sal has leapt into the next SIM practising the perfect virtual stage dive. Didier is attaching an extra hand to his avatar for the complicated guitar bits, and Harrie and Pengi are painting the stage purple. So c'mon guys, put us up on your calendar..we are on the Chill Isle stage at 6pm real GMT time on July 1st. The Chill Isle can only be described as 'cosy'...will we get into the Guinness Book of Records if we all fit on that tiny stage LOL? Bittersweet will not be happy unless you make it into a normal sized stage..and believe me you would not wish to upset her...she is a Secondlife Warrior of the highest order...
