Music has a way of uniting people. Whether it be fans connecting over mutual appreciation of a certain band and/or genre, or musicians meeting in dusty basements, turning ideas for covers and compositions in an audible reality, music just has a way of bringing people together. For the five members of Second Floor Escape, music is what holds each of them together, even though distance and circumstances may not be on their side. From it's original conception in 2003 as Downcast, to the climax of the summer of 2007, the burning desire to learn, create and perform was what created this unbreakable bond between each member. Even though the band is currently scattered throughout Ontario (with members in Waterloo, Toronto, Brantford and Timmins), the desire to create and perform is stronger than ever. For every person that's been with us so far, thanks for everything you've done, no matter how small it may have been, and as for every one just joining us, have a seat, get comfortable, because we certainly aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
