"We are the writers of time and space. The musicans of the mystical and mysterious... Or we could just be two college students who are a little too obsessed with the Harry Potter fandom. Let us take you on a journey to the darker side of the series. "
With love,
The Sectumsempras
The Sectumsempras is the product of thousands of hours of reading, watching, debating and pondering the depths of Harry Potter. They'd like to think they are the darkest maybe not musically, but lyrically within the Wizard Rock genre. However, that is still for your ears to decide.
This band was not publically known until 2006 as the month of January was dying and two bored potterheads decided to come together and write music they loved and hoped others would as well. Lamia, who is a self taught musician, wrote the instrumental to the song that would become "Hate Remains". After sending the MP3 to her good friend Schizo, who is a trained musician, Lamia asked her to take part in a musical project. In a single night the first single was written, a myspace account was created, and a band name was chosen.
The name The Sectumsempras comes from a spell created by The Half-Blood Prince, the two band mate's favorite character. The spell causes deep gashes to be cut into the victum. It is bloody and it is violent. The name was also ment to reflect the musical ideal of the band -to be cutting edge.

I haven't been around much but that doesn't mean you haven't been played constantly!!! I was showing off Wrock via a couple of your tunes just the other night. I hope all is well!!!
How you always manage to capture my heart and soul in your own music is beyond me. The way you create and mix your tracks is just divine, despite the darkness of your sounds. Most of your style contains an element of light shot through it, like ribbons of gemstones that form in the heat and depth of an ancient lava flow. I believe it is your voice that does most of that...haunting yet unmistakably angelic. Point being, I love the new tunez. Thank you for sharing them. ;)
I think the guitar I've heard before from you before is very talented. But thanks for the kudos just the same. Right now I'm working on a total frankenstein of a song, real poppy though. I'll let you know when I'm done.
"Lacrimation" is fantastic. Beautifully recorded and very moving indeed. I'm particularly impressed with how well the mix works to convey a vivid mood, with each instrument and your voice sliding in and out of prominence so smoothly. Worth the wait...but don't let that slow down the release of more!
I love your music. I was just wondering, are you planing on releasing a CD? If your not releasing a CD or selling your music somewhere, is there a place I can download it? Oh, and the download link for Judgment final is broken.
