Seeds of Baphomet
was founded in 2003 by Tobias Stork (guitars), Martin Wiegand (drums), Sascha Jung (bass) and Gregor Burchard (vocals) as a fun metal project.
After a short period of time those guys recognized that they want to get it on a little bit more "serious". After a couple of jam and beer sessions songs like 'Keep the fire burning' and 'Undead Bloodlust' were born. The line-up Wiegand, Stork, Burchardt and the new guy on the bass Malte Berger recorded the "Unleashed Wrath" Demo in 2004 as a first proof of life.
After another line-up change (Malte left the band. His position was filled by Andreas Praß) the "We Kill" mini album was recorded in 2006. A few live shows later frontman Gregor Burchardt left the band. Matthias Meier (Ex- "Mortal Remains") entered as the new shouter (and the very first Seeds of Baphomet band member with short hair by the way). At Rock Hard Festival 2007 an untalented lead guitar player named Sebastian 'Gouda' van der Voort was blackmailed to join the band.
Finally -to complete this boring line-up trash- in early 2008, after months of party, beer and girls, Andreas Prass had to leave the band due to privat changes while the rehearsal sessions for the new recording...
Seeds of Baphomet includes the actual members: Tobias Stork(g), Martin Wiegand(dr), Matthias Meier(vox), Sebastian 'Gouda' van der Voort(g) and Michael Simshäuser(b).
Musically it's a mix of several thrash metal sub styles. However, WE think, that our stuff sounds cool and kicks ass, so we give a fuck!
