Incorporated in 1973, Self Help Graphics & Art has been the leading visual arts center serving the Los Angeles community, where we foster the empowerment of local Latino/Chicano artists.
My name is Luis Fierros, I am a representative from Kasil Gallery. We are a newly founded gallery in Lincoln hieghts , we are a non profit gallery that offers free classes to our community. We also provide supplies for those who wish to come in and just paint. We are looking to expand our name to other communities in order to have people come in and see what we have to offer. Top of the Dome V Fifth Annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration Exhibit
Opening Reception: November 8th from 6 - 9pm
Over 100 ceramic skulls designed by Gregg Stone and customized by dozens of painters, graphic designers, graffiti artists, sculptors and tattoo artists will be for sale and on display for the rest of the month of November.
There will be many limited edition products celebrating the past five years of this annual show, including prints, tees, stickers, and an anniversary catalog.
Featured artist, Edgar Hoill, will be creating a special Day of the Dead photographic installation and will be building an altar to remember those who passed away while crossing the border that will run in conjunction with this exhibit as well.
Show runs through Nov.30th
*The exhibit will also be part of the Downtown Art Walk on Thursday November 13th from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
