In one part of the world, Seona Dancing's "More to Lose" became an '80s anthem as ubiquitous as Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," but with the eternal hipster cool of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart."
...Okay, that doesn't describe how the music sounds, but it does describe how cool and ubiquitous it is. Oh, here's a quote from Macrae himself (the only quote):
"I'd say we're trying to marry the rhythmic qualities of East Coast funk with the more melodic aspect of post-punk over here"
Long story short, future-comedian Ricky Gervais (David Brent from The Office) combined forces with some guy named Bill Macrae in a New Wave, New Romantic eyeliner-encrusted pop duo in 1982. They only came out with two singles and two b-sides. The band lasted until 1984, and unbeknownst to the band, a year later they had become massively popular in the Phillipines.
