It all started with all night student house parties and raves in the Peak District. With the money we made we continued buying boxes, vinyl and ran The Hot Pot Reggae night every week at the Nottingham House. After a year of these sessions we moved the ever growing soundsystem across town to a new venue, the Red house where we continued rattling windows. As Sequoia grew we worked with local soundsystems and promoters to put on as many trouser-flapping parties as possible.
We got a van and started stacking speakers in Liverpool with Dreadnought and Preston with Cold Up Norf, while rocking the Steel City with guests like Mungos HiFi, Brother Culture and Jahtari - original soundsystem style!!
At the moment if you pass through Sheffield you may see us at Subsessions alongside Sama Roots Soundsystem, or in Exile at the Hen and Chickens, or you may even see us carrying scoops into the Peak District at the weekend!
On our mission to spread good vibes, bass and love we've already visited Prague and Germany, but they said we could only take records with us! In September were filling our van with as many scoops as we can and wobbling over Europe, dropping dubs and basslines everywhere we stop.

easy bredren, whats good? derrick just phoned to tell me he aint got enuff money for that gig in december, plus he wanted the system as well. but hes up for sortin us out in june, so we could do a few gigs around that freiburg festival, possibly some more festis... and we were thinking of maybe tourin the uk in may, so then we could head back to europe with yous, what do u reckon? by the way, cant see any pics or vids from the tour yet, u should get on it like... bassnluv, dressla
