THE SHACK started as Sessions Music, a small music store owned by local DFW musician, John Zaskoda. Unfortunately, after suffering from a devastating burglary, an exhausting relocation and an overall loss of business the shop closed just three years after opening its doors in October 2005.
It’s not all such a sad story though… Jz regrouped and is proud to announce the arrival of THE SHACK. The new place offers the same services as before and will still carry parts and strings in addition to some used gear. Please see banners for more info and contact information.
A small place indeed, being reduced to an efficient sound studio has been a blessing in disguise. Lessons are now completely private and without the distractions of a retail showroom. Also, setups and repairs now only have a typical turnaround of 3-5 days (Most are 48 hours or less). Lessons are available Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm-8:30pm and Saturday mornings from 10a-1:30pm.
