M (Marlenna), D (Daphne) and E (Emperatrizz) are three young men who perform together in a group called SESTRE (Sisters). They have been performing together since 2000 under the name "Suspender sisters" with a clasic Drag Queen show program.
In February 2002 they worked with the creative team of Dom Svobode and together they created one of the biggest and most controversial entries in Eurosong contest ever. They won the Slovenian pre-selection and so they represented Slovenia on Eurovision 2002 in Tallin. The song "Samo ljubezen" or "Only love" became number one - smash hit overnight. The media couldn't get enough of the relaxed, talkative and sincere guys. In Tallin they drew attention on every step and became recognizable throughout Europe even if they landed on the 13th position. They were also first news on CNN and BBC.
They started performing all over Europe and were invited to numerous foreign shows in Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Italy, UK, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Estonia,.... They performed also on BBC's most popular show on Chanel 4, Eurotrash.
In October 2002 was released their first album SOUVENIR by Menart and with the support of cooperational team Dom Svobode : Magnifico, Barbara Pešut and Schatzi. They created a top selling quality product with an eclectic mix of influences and extraordinary music. The CD is recorded in Slovene, but most of songs are also translated into English, Spanish, French and German language.
They made two videos in Belgrade with the most popular Serbian director Dejan Miličević, and they also won the award VICTOR VICTORIA 2002, for the most popular group in Serbia from Slovenija.
They also got FESION AWARD 2002 for the best personal style in Slovenia and GOLDEN RECORD for the first single Samo ljubezen.
Their first big solo performance was in Decembre 2002 in Ljubljana's Hotel Union Gala Hall, which was a great success and since then SESTRE became an important part of the Slovene music scene.
