For 28 years, the mystical allure of the Seven Seas has charmed the eastern shores of Lake Nagawicka. Like a graceful dragon, perched above the waters, the ivory-pillared restaurant is amazing with the backdrop of the setting sun or a moon-lit lake. Adorned with vibrant stained glass, painted wall murals, and breathtaking views from every area, the restaurant has a global theme as rich as its own legendary past. Once a fine resort for the Chicago elite, and later, a relaxing destination 'for tired workers in need of rest and repair', the building was also used as a Catholic girls' retreat, the temporary home of Hartland's University Lake School, and other various hotels and dining establishments. The Weissgerber family purchased the building in 1981, and expanded the restaurant by 10,000 square feet in 2000. The Seven Seas is available for weddings, parties & any fun adventure you might have in mind! Contact us directly with any personal plans! We have private rooms available for partys of 8 to 333. Pull up your boat or motorcycle, or walk over from the park for casual cookout and drinks/food to go. Thursdays at the Seven Seas you can enjoy dollar drinks, live entertainment & our "Wine and Tapas Night!" The Tapas menu evolves globally weekly, priced from $5-7.
