With over 15 years in the game, shAde has rocked sets all over New England. He’s a perfectionist, whether competing in a dj battle, performing a live set or laying down the cuts in the studio. shAde’s in it to win it... Locally, he’s entered and won battle titles in his homebase of Portland, ME as well as appearing in DMC regional heats in Boston, MA.
Moving on from his role as co-host, along with dj Boondocks, of Portland’s most successful and longrunning hip-hop open mic night (Infact, the NY Times’ AHEAD section has featured this night in their publication), shAde is looking to reinvigorate the hip-hop scene in Portland, with the new Wednesday night event known simply as SPEAK YO CLOUT!. Look for more and more local, regional and national showcase features at this new Wednesday night series... You can attend any Wednesday of the week at the Big Easy , 55 Market Street in Portland, Maine.
Not content to rest on his laurels, shAde is also the beat selector and platter wrecker for Portland’s local hip-hop antiheroes Labseven. He’s also worked with Bread, Kenmor, Brzowski, Nomar Slevik, B. Ware the Siniq and others seeking his skills on the 1s and 2s. shAde’s table tactics have also made it on to the recordings of artists like Poverty and Paranoid Social Club.
