Tony Laviola's influences are varied and many - he grew up with 60's rock and pop, and loved the music of the 70's and 80's. Classic Country crossover artist Ray Charles was big for Tony.
Louise's influences come from classical, Jazz and Country.
Her favorite artists include The Beatles, Beethoven and Bach, Bonnie Rait, Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Milt Jackson, Dave Brubeck, Weather Report, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Nash the Slash - just to name a few
What provides Louise with her inspiration for songs? She writes about people, experiences, emotions, events and places.
Tony makes the perfect songwriting partner - he always finds the finishing touch, the extra word or phrase, the key change, the chord change - that make the difference between boring and exciting.
Her song, If Wishes were horses, which is a tribute to her friend and neighbour, Carol, came about as a result of Carol moving away. It was not a concious thing, the words and melody just came into her head one day, and refused to leave..

You can hear Louise interviewing various other artists on her various IndieTalent.ca shows, the IndieTalent.ca shows menu page

Most agree that her voice has a sweet, yet sultry quality to it.
GOOD NEWS - White Picket Fence WON HONOURABLE MENTION IN THE August 2008 SONG OF THE YEAR CONTEST. If Wishes Were Horses won HONOURABLE MENTION IN DECEMBER 2007 AND RUNNER UP in NOVEMBER 2007 IN THE SONG OF THE YEAR CONTEST - BOTH SONGS OFF SHADY COUNTRY LANES
Tony Laviola is a bassist/composer/arranger based in Toronto, Ontario.
Louise Peacock is a singer/songwriter.
Together they work on songs. they have just released their Country CD "Shady Country Lanes" which is comprised of 9 original Country songs. What makes this CD unique is that they used only bass and voice.
Don't be fooled into think that will sound thin - on the contrary, Tony has layered in so many different colours of bass, that you will be hard put not to imagine more instruments.
