-Our full length cd was released on April the 12th at I Hate Humanity Records! We're very proud on our first official release and we're hoping you'll like it as much as we do!
-We're going to record new material in May or June. 5 minutes of it will be on a split 7" with the Dutch 80's style goregrinders Intumescence! and the other part will be on a 4way LP with A Den Of Robbers (BE), Xaros (FR), and another band which we are in contact with at the moment. So this message will be continued later!

Shapes of misery started as a un-named project in winter 2006 by Joep(drums) and Geert(guitar + vocals). In the summer of 2006, Geert introduced Joep his friend Glenn, and they deceided to force Glenn into Shapes Of Misery. The line up changed to: Geert - Bass / Vocals, Glenn - Guitar / Vocals, Joep - Drums and a new chapter was born!
After half a year of practicing together as a three piece band, writing a few songs that will always be in our live setlist because it were a very good first sessions, they made plans to record their 1st demo in February 2007 and planned a split 7" with Intumescence wich will be released on Raw Noise Productions, I Hate Humanity Records and BONG Records. In February 2008 the full length was recorded and on the 12th of April it was released by my (Geert) record label I Hate Humanity Records. We had to play in Belgium that evening, and we had one of our favorite shows of all time! People were shouting songtitles and were smashing chairs in front of the stage to release their frustration and adrenaline, together with us!
