Fresh off his 2007 world tour, Sharif immediately began work on his follow-up record. Shaping new songs with hitmaker Desmond Child really helped Sharif discover a new level of songwriting. After writing 50+ songs, Sharif narrowed it down to 14 and began recording in various studios on the East Coast. Sharif was thrilled to collaborate so many great musicians, including:
Rhett Miller from the Old 97's
Jon Graboff from Ryan Adams' Cardinals
Robb MacLean from Limbeck
Tim Bradshaw from John Mayer & David Gray's bands
Mark Goldenberg from Brett Dennen's amazing band
With such a strong lineup, and a great selection of songs, Sharif is ready to begin touring again as soon as the final mixing and mastering of his record is completed. Tentatively tiled "Kisses and Lies," look for Sharif's latest release in stores and on Itunes this summer.
