So what about the band?
The Shed are a five piece group who offer up a veritable melange of music you might expect from a band whose influences range from Leadbelly to Pink Floyd to The Handsome Family– and every two-bit staging post in between. With 4 songwriters in their midst who more or less equally share writing [and singing] responsibilites, The Shed keep audiences on their toes as a superabundance of influences drifts in and out of their songs. Live they endeavour to use as large a selection of instruments as possible including melodica, piano, mandolin, electric guitars, various percussion instruments, swanee flute, slide guitar, tin whistle, harmonica, kazoo, megaphone, acoustic guitars, banjo and drums. Oh and voices, lots of voices .
