Shenkima was something that started in the few years that I didn't have a band. I started laying down guitar tracks on my computer, couldn't play the drums and didn't want to sing.
I'd record one little idea then I'd start coming up with a tonne of other ideas that I figured could really do something for the track...I guess in the back of my mind I was writing songs for a band that never came about. Instead here are a handful of songs, though they don't have lyrics, that came about after hours of self indulgence.
Forgive the sound quality, most were recorded on my pc, no fancy studio software or hardware, just me and a pc mic...If you're wondering about the window photo, that was the view I had when I wrote most of these pieces in my bedroom so it seems fitting that it accompanies the songs.
Occasionally I write new instrumental pieces, if anyone shows any interest I might put them up someday...

Shenakima ... so that's Japanese for maverick guitarist? This actually made me quite nostalgic, I remember listening to these a couple of years ago...they even made it onto some compilations I made at the time!
