Bio:

choomby who lived across the street from shishkin, crashed one of shishkin's parties in late 00, where they got together and jammed a few 13th floor elevator and electric prunes folk tunes into the early morning.

shishkin is shishkin's "real" name (ha!) - ie his old man's name. choomby's been called that since he was a kid (21) when his sister used to shout something that sounded vaguely like "choomby" when practising tai kwon do.

Influences:

tunes about the dark night of the soul, women in folk music, lusting after women in folk music, nuclear family relationships being a petri dish for the growth of fascism, altered states of consciousness, animalism, the insatiable sexual appetite unleashed in yer momma when she fantasises about Kevin Rudd, the subjective nature of truth, and the deep-well yearning of a boy to come home to his momma. currently focused on the vagaries of human relations. maybe geo-politics? its all politics anyway, if you care to look :)

..currently pimping a set of tunes - a concept album saga, starting as a crisis of adolescent confidence in a library and taking our character on a journey where he finds love (so he thinks) only to have it cruelly denied, and tumble into a underbelly existence, going in and out of a smorgasbord of not-so-real-ationships (and the occasional down and dirty gig), eventually to find meaning in political struggle where through accident of history he finds himself to be a leader of a mass-political consciousness movement that grows like a fucking tsunami – but this story is a tragedy ): Or is it?
