About me:
SHOCK IT TO ME! is a celebration of classic (and not so classic) horror films, presented at the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco. But SHOCK IT TO ME! is much more than a simple film festival... SHOCK IT TO ME is a witches’ brew of spooky movies, ghastly guests, and colorfully creepy horror hosts. Doktor Goulfinger, Ms. Monster and Mr. Lobo have all graced the SHOCK IT TO ME! stage, while our special guests of honor have included actor Russ Tamblyn (THE HAUNTING), and local legends Bob Wilkins and John Stanley from KTVU's "Creature Features" program (1971-1984).
OUR NEXT SINISTER "SHOCK IT TO ME!" HALLOWEEN SHOW WILL BE OUR FANG-TASTIC "VINCENT PRICE DOUBLE FEATURE" AT THE CLAY THEATER IN SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 27th & 28th, 2009!
SHOCK IT TO ME! and Landmark's Clay Theater in San Francisco, are presenting a very special two-night, VINCENT PRICE DOUBLE FEATURE event, boasting a pair of true horror classics, dug up deep from the vaults of American International Pictures on Tuesday, October 27 & Wednesday, October 28, 2009: Sidney Salkow's THE LAST MAN ON EARTH (1964) and Edgar Allen Poe's TOMB OF LIGEIA (Director Roger Corman, 1965)!
The Clay Theater is located at 2261 Fillmore Street in San Francisco. Call 415-346-1124 for more information. THE LAST MAN ON EARTH & TOMB OF LIGEIA will be presented in shocking 35mm, with tickets a scream at only $10.50 (General) & $8.00 (Seniors-Child-Student)! Those are prices you can’t shake a stake at for these two great thrillers, starring the “Merchant of Meance” himself, Vincent Price! Showtime each night starts at 7:00 pm!
Postponed until 2010: GODZILLA & THE MONSTERS OF MASS DESTRUCTION Stomping into San Francisco's historic Castro Theatre is a weekend celebration of Japan's monster cinema, featuring ten classic films, presented in glorious 35mm, from the producers of the annual SHOCK IT TO ME! Classic Horror Film Festival.
Our special guest will be the man in the Godzilla suit himself, Haruo Nakajima. From 1954 through 1972, Mr. Nakajima played Godzilla and various monsters on screen and television, and will be in attendance throughout the weekend to meet with fans and sign autographs.
OUR MOST RECENT "SHOCK IT TO ME!" TOOK PLACE ON OCTOBER 17th & 18th, 2008! Thanks to all of you who attended the 2008 event — our biggest and most successful yet! Our Special Celebrity Guests were SID "Captain Spaulding" HAIG from SPIDER BABY, KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT & LARA PARKER from DARK SHADOWS who were interviewed by author and former horror host, JOHN STANLEY.
