The Sign. That's the literal translation for Signum. What does A.D. stand for? That is a secret the band has yet to reveal. Signum A.D. was formed in 2006 by Elliott (guitar), David (vocals), D.L. (drums), and Brentin (bass) at Elliott's recording studio in Augusta, KS.
In 2007, the boys entered the studio to record the debut album with producer Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Creed, Framing Hanley, etc...) Two weeks later, the band emerged from the studio with what can only be described as a hook-laden, hard hitting, unforgetable eleven track debut album. The album immediately caught the attention of music industry power house Jeff Hanson (Creed, Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Paramore) Hanson flew the band down on the next flight to Florida and offered them a record deal with his label, Silent Majority Group (ILG/Warner Bros.)
The album, entitled 'Music As Morphine', is scheduled to drop sometime in Summer 2009. It is expected to make a huge wave in the modern rock scene, already getting high reviews from critics and fans alike.
