Evoking wild west imagery with trail blazing tunes to match "..there is the fusion of galloping Hispanic rhythms, new wave and disco beats that is both utterly original and yet deeply familiar” Oxfordshire music scene.
Within the last two years the band has been nominated at the Carling academy for Oxford’s best band and has featured on both BBC radio and ITV local. They were also approached by respected Hollywood label 272 records to have their single “Heavy Love” featured on their power pop overthrow compilation album. With it’s accompanying video, the song enjoyed extensive college radio airplay and won Silvanito a growing fanbase Stateside.
The band has built up a formidable live reputation as one of the most commercially exciting bands around with the ability to appeal to any audience, "...all categories of clubbers appear pleased, from smitten girls to greasy grungers, Silvanito are just the sort of band for an outstanding night out." - Cherwell.
2008 saw the creation of “Silvanito nights”, a monthly music showcase run by the band. Held at the Jericho Tavern ( starting point of other local favourites Supergrass, Radiohead ) the night continous to grow, now attracting a national interest.
Other live highlights have included support slots with The Young Knives, the Rumblestrips and Calvin Harris.
