Sounds Like
the kinda music you've been waiting to hear all your fuckin' lives....
check out Sinister Footwear on YouTube.com for some of our other songs filmed live @ shepherds bush empire, london and other music videos.
If Sinister Footwear were a book they’d be a hallucinogenic concoction of Lewis Carroll’s mind span. Yet despite the various tangents of genre and style they manage to pull the threads together to make a world without sense suddenly unquestionable.
It’s sinister, happy, mellow, hyped, un-typed, punk, funk, groove, rock, blues, confused, epic, telescopic, deep and wide, a twisting ride. Sinister Footwear are calling all black sheep away from the crowd.
Excerpt from gig review at Debees Bar by pollen8.eu
Sinister Footwear take you on a whirlwind tour of musical genres – they whip through tempo and keychanges, juxtaposing great big power chords with the tightest multi-instrument unison playing.
One minute you’re gripped by a pounding track with overtones of Lovecats when you suddenly find yourself transported to the fug of a late-night, easy listening jazz basement with the ghost of Frank looming large as Poirot suspense chords writhe seductively in the build up to a big New York, New York-style finale. It may have been odd, but they’ll definitely be getting more of my interest.
