SIRE was born in 2004, when Jiben, an unclassifiable soundtrack composer, delivered his raw compositions to an alchemists' quator with collusive pleasures. From the very first rehearsal, words seemed to be on the tip of their tongue, overcome by the presence and solidity of the strong pulsation enhanced by Olivier (bass) and Martin (drum). With such an evidence of their musical affinities, the foundation was there, all that Gaëlle (violin), JC (guitar) and Jiben (lead vocals) had to do was to reach within their soul and the architecture followed. When the words returned, the complicity asserts itself in the musical eclecticism of each, the common graphic and film references. Others may quote their favourite musicians they however still dissect the works of Lynch, Burton or Cronenberg, after instruments keep silent. From the cinema to the theater, there's only one step to the stage for which Sire is definitively done for. Then, without hesitation the group sent their demo to Boston, the location of the famous Dresden Dolls duet, another formation greeted for its theatricality. The response regarding the demo is swift. SIRE is immediately invited for the first part of the Dolls' French tour. After an amazing gig at the Bataclan in Paris, the group begins to enlarge its audience ; touched and surprised by its total originality. Found between the worlds, between classic and strange, purity and sophistication, sharpness and explosion. In summary, SIRE is the "dark side of the pop".
The moment came for them to engrave their intentions for the band; they head for the studio during winter 2006 to record a first album under the leadership of François Baurin, already in the levers of number of productions Warner and EMI. The time for Jiben to mix the opus, and the group is back on stage.

Oyez oyez ! Le maxi monster music show (side project du maximum kouette) revient dans votre ville avec ses z'amis freaks pour une grande soirée burlesque dont les fils de teuphu live sur les images de buster keaton + captain carnasse & sa momie + super preachers sound system + animation freaks + fresque live du collectif humungus + défilé toxic twin + surprises ... mardi 1 juillet au cabaret sauvage (m° porte de la villette à Paris ) à partir de 19h jusqu'à 2h paf : 20€
Peut-être avez-vous su que le 5 juin dernier, ça a chauffé du coté de Montreuil où les rafles de sans papiers, notamment à la sortie des métro, s'intensifient.
Un comité d'alerte assez efficace a été mis en place pour réagir face à ces exactions.
Ce jour-là, suite à l'arrestation de sans papiers, un rassemblement devant le commissariat tourne mal.
Matraquage, intervention de la bac, tirs aux flash ball... avec des affrontements qui ont duré tard dans la nuit.
Le collectif des sans papiers de Montreuil et O.P.A sont étroitement liés et nous avons organisé le mois dernier à Bordeaux un concert de soutien pour les amis du 93.
On en a gardé quelques traces sonores, pas top, top mais qui font souvenirs.
Le dimanche 25 mai, O.P.A était invité à venir jouer au Zéphyrin à St martial.
Arrivé avec m. au chant, Raph à la guitare et Mario à la batterie, la bonne fortune mis sur notre chemin Cédric (basse/contrebasse) et Boris (violon) qui furent tentés par l'aventure...
Au final, plus de deux heures d'impro et des souvenirs plein la tête :+)
