    Es handelt sich um ein seltenes Phänomen, wenn eine Band in Zeiten kurzlebiger Trends und schwieriger Bedingungen auf dem Musikmarkt konsequent bleibt und allen Widrigkeiten trotzt. SIX REASONS TO KILL unterscheiden sich von vielen Kleeblättern eines kurzlebigen Trends durch ihre Hartnäckigkeit, Resistenz und Konsequenz – ohne dabei das Ziel aus dem Auge zu verlieren: Modernen und aggressiven Metal mit einem eigenständigen Hardcore-Einfluss zu spielen. Gegründet wurden SIX REASONS TO KILL zu einer Zeit, in der die Kombination von Hardcore- und Metal-Sounds noch eine reine Veranstaltung im Underground war. Seitdem entwickelten sie diesen Stil beständig weiter. Das Debutalbum Kiss The Demon (Alveran Records 2000) und zwei Split-Veröffentlichungen (mit ABSIDIA 2001 und DEADLOCK 2003) sind Zeugen dieser frühen Periode und offerieren eine heftige Mischung aus groovebasierendem Hardcore und brutalem Death Metal. Die Entwicklung zu einem stärker ausgefeilten Sound wird dann auf den folgenden Alben Reborn (Bastardized Recordings / Tribunal Records 2005) und Another Horizon (Bastardized Recordings / Tribunal Records 2008) offensichtlich, die auch internationale Aufmerksamkeit erhielten und sowohl in Europa als auch in den Vereinigten Staaten und in Japan und Asien veröffentlicht wurden. Jene Fortentwicklung kulminiert in beeindruckender Art und Weise in dem Sound, den das Koblenzer Quintett auf ihrem neusten Album Architects of Perfection (Massacre Records 2011) realisiert. Im Stil der Vorgängeralben schließt die Band erneut den Kreis zwischen modernem und extremem Metal. Über die Jahre hinweg konnten sich SIX REASONS TO KILL in die Herzen sowohl vieler Metalheads als auch in die Ohren junger Hardcore-Kids spielen. Dies erreichte die Band über konsequente Bühnenpräsenz. SIX REASONS TO KILL tourten mit etablierten Bands wie Hatebreed, Caliban, Maroon, Hatesphere, Deadlock oder Burning Skies und spielten unzählige Konzerte und Festivals mit Bands wie Testament, The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadows Fall, Bleeding Through, God Forbid, Napalm Death und Heaven Shall Burn. In times of fast changing trends and harder circumstances in the music business it is a kind of phenomenon when a band keeps on running on a consequent independent basis. SIX REASONS TO KILL have the distinction of being insistent and consequent in what they’re doing – without loosing sight of their target to play modern and aggressive Metal with a strong hardcore impact. Founded in 1999 when the hybrid of Metal and Hardcore was a strictly underground phenomenon SIX REASONS TO KILL constantly evolved their sound over the years. The debut Death Metal-Hardcore-Bastard Kiss The Demon (Alveran Records 2000) and two split-releases (with ABSIDIA 2001 and DEADLOCK 2003) are significant for their early period of groove-based Death Metal. Their development towards a more elaborated sound is evident on the following albums named Reborn (Bastardized Recordings / Tribunal Records 2005) and Another Horizon (Bastardized Recordings / Tribunal Records 2008). This progression culminates in Architects of Perfection (Massacre Records 2011), the latest effort of the Koblenz-based five piece. The new material again closes the gap between modern and extreme Death Metal, the bands very own Hardcore influence, some laid-back atmospheric sounds and a heavy flirt with electronica. Long-time friend and collaborator Kristian 'Kohle' Bonifer (Crematory, Agathodaimon, Sieges Even) once again handled mixing duties and designed another heavy hitting masterpiece. Within the years SIX REASONS TO KILL captivated the hearts of Metalheads as well as the ears of Hardcore-Kids touring with such major acts like Hatebreed, Caliban, Maroon, Hatesphere, Deadlock or Burning Skies and playing countless shows and festivals with diverse acts ranging from Testament, The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadows Fall, Bleeding Through, God Forbid, Napalm Death, Heaven Shall Burn, among countless others.
