Biography

biography

Founded in 2007 as a studio project, Sjuk (the Swedish word for "ill") is a Pagan Folk Metal band from Paris, France.

Their sound can be described as folk with Thrash/Death metal influences.

Sjuk uses traditional instruments (harp, accordion, bagpipe, hurdy gurdy, flute) mixed with guitars and loud vocals.

The texts of the band are mostly based on Norse mythology and the time of the Viking Age.

The 3rd July 2009, « Wolf Is Coming » the first demo of the band is released. The aim of this production is to regroup the early years of the band.

The 16th November 2011, « Time Has Come » the first EP of the band is released.

We are currently looking for a label to produce our first EP "Time Has Come..." as a Tape, CD or Split !
