About mrs. skannotto {is doing the studio thing...}
mrs. skannotto is a ska band based out of Rochester, NY. A long-standing group, they have been on the ska scene since 1998. The band draws influences from many generes including traditional and punk ska, rock, reggae, and even the blues.

The band has made appearances all across the Northeast. Their style appeals to crowds of all ages and backgrounds, from bars to small indie shows to festivals. They've appeared at sizable events such as "Three Floors of Ska" in New York City, "The Golden Harvest Festival" in Syracuse, NY, and "Ten Bands at Bates" at Bates College in Maine. The band has shared the stage with such notable acts as the Toasters, the Pietasters, the Slackers, Bim Skala Bim, the Know How, Phenomenauts, the Agents, the Allstonians, the Tossers, RX Bandits, Bigger Thomas, The Aggrolites, and Mustard Plug.

The band currently has four full-length self-released albums. Their most recent release, "bet you didn't see this coming", premiered in March 2006 to a capacity crowd at Milestones Music Room, and to good reviews from the local independent press.

Friends, The holiday season is a specail time. Its a time to spend with the people you care about. Its a time to fill ourselves with holiday cheer. Its a time to drink egg nog, because sometimes you wanna get drunk, but you also want some pancakes
