THE OFFICIAL SKIN MYSPACE PAGE
This MySpace page was originally set up by Adam (see the friend's list), a huge fan of Skin, in December 2005. At that time, it had no real connection with Skin. After the page gained a lot of interest it became the official MySpace Page for Skin and her beautiful, rocking music!
Although Skin doesn't directly control this page, she does log onto, and read, this page now and again. She also has her own, personal MySpace page which can be found at:
After the page became successful, Adam, the founder of this page, sought the help of two friends, Ste and Jordan, to help maintain the page. Each members profile can be seen below:
In 2001 the UK's greatest rock band Skunk Anansie decided to go their
separate ways. 2 years later in June of 2003 their legendary frontwoman, Skin,
burst back on the music scene with her first solo album "Fleshwounds".
The album included the singles "Faithfulness" and "Trashed", and
also what was to be the 3rd single "Lost" but unfortunately the single was
pulled by her label, EMI, afterwards Skin departed from them and went back to
her home base of Ibiza where she continued to write songs.
In Mid 2004, Skin headed back to the recording studio with her band and
blasted out a download only single "Alone In My Room" as well
as tracks for her upcoming album "Fake Chemical State"
With demo's recorded, Skin found a new label "V2" She headed back to the studio
and put the finishing touches onto the album. In the beginning of 2005 Skin
headlined the British acts at Midem in France, which she used as an opportunity
to show off her new songs, and throughout 2005 she continued to tour with her
new material. On October 17th Skin performed "Alone In My Room" live at Swarovski Fashion Rocks in an unforgettable performance, and finally on November 14th 2005 Skin released "Alone
In My Room" which was available to download on her official site, it was the
moment her fans had been waiting for. After the single was released a string of
concerts was announced in the UK for November and December. The UK Tour started
on Tuesday 15th November at Norwich and finished on Monday 5th December in
Oxford.
With an eventful year under her belt, Skin took time off from touring, and
started touring again in January of 2006, her next UK tour commenced in March of
2006 and coincided with the release of her new album "Fake Chemical State".
