Bio:
"In just the past five years, Orlando-based emcee, S.K.I.P., has written and self-released over fifteen full-length albums with his long-time producer and now fellow labelmate, Swamburger. His initial nationally distrubuted release entitled, “Autobiographicology,” debuted on the CMJ Charts at 7 and stayed in the top 10 for three weeks. He was also listed in URB Magazines 14th annual “Next 100” issue. Yet, despite many early successes, circumstances over the last year forced S.K.I.P. to redetermine his artistic role and evolve, both as a musician and as a person. This step has allowed him to not only expand his creative boundaries into new and exciting areas, but also to utilize his past musical training as a multi-instrumentalist and song writer. His upcoming album, “Until the Very End,” introduces listeners to a more raw and emotionally present side of the artist. This new music is electric... Period." -JS
"This is just me being me. I am not a rockstar or a celebrity or a someone that you should especially even listen to. I am just a normal guy who is trying to do something that i love and maybe find some people out there that appreciates it. I hope that maybe you find something in it that you can connect or relate with. Thank you for your support. I would not have been able to live my dream for this long without you." -S.K.I.P.
Time Well Spent: As some of you might know, I've been taking time off from doing shows to work on my new album entitled, "Until the Very End." This album is very special to me because it debuts a side of me that not many people have seen yet. In just this last year, i have done alot of growing up. Growing up in the way that i carry myself, the way i treat people, and the mark that i want to leave on this world. I realized that a lot of times i confused being angry as being passionate, and being witty and clever as being attractive of appealing.
The album is a conceptual adventure about time travel, war and what happens when good men do nothing.
In addition, I am also writing and directing a full length motion picture / musical with the same title as the album. The film is going to be a visual experience through the music and storyline of the album. It will be written and directed by myself and shot and produced by a good friend of mine.
Another thing that i have in the works is a children's book that i've written entitled, "Doorstep." The book will be illustrated by a very talented and special artist (who's name shall not be disclosed at this time).
The album should be released sometime in either March or April of 2009, and look for the movie later that year. The book should be published and printed sometime this spring.
