Elvis, Willie, Waylon, Merle, Ernest, Buck, George, Dolly, the Hanks, the Johnny's (Cash, Burnette, Mercury, Paycheck, Rotten, Thunders, Walker, Carson -- too many Johnny's to list), Ray Charles, Dick Dale, The Ventures, The Clash, Dead Kennedy's, Brian Setzer, Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Old 97's, Calexico, Bob Marley, Supersuckers, Ween, AC/DC, Slayer, Sabbath, Zep, Skynyrd, Stones, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen (Roth era, of course), Social D, James Brown, -- This list could go on for days!
WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT:
Them Slack Jawed Sons of Bitches -- featuring Steve "Stevil" Laflen on guitar and vocals, Jeff Okubo on drums and vocals, Eric Burchfield on bass and vocals, and John Vaughan on pedal steel -- is a San Jose based band inspired by classic country, punk, rockabilly, surf, blues, "alt country", cowpunk, punkabilly, and other stuff with fancy names like that. At the end of the day kids, it's just rock and roll. And country! Yeehaw!
WHAT WE'RE UP TO RIGHT NOW:
We're getting ready to put out an album. Do you want to be on it? If you play banjo, honky tonk piano, or fiddle, hit us up. We'll pay the recording costs and give you full credit on the album and all the beer you can drink. If you're a hotshot hired gun-type looking for something to help pay the bills, this is probably not the right fit.
SJSOB SCHWAG:
Men's t-shirts and women's baby doll cut t-shirts in all sizes. We also have women's spaghetti strap tanks (HOT!). We only use top-quality Hanes and Gildan tees printed by King of Campus in San Jose. Priced at a very reasonable $15 each or two for $25 including shipping (to continental U.S.). We also have some snazzy lookin' stickers that we'll throw in for free with your shirt purchase!
Support independent local music and look dang good doing it!
SHOUT OUTS:

Hey Hey, Stopped in to wish you an amazing Thanksgiving… Family
is great, but they always seem to know too much about us… Here’s hoping that all
of those folks who push your buttons, miraculously appreciate how awesome you really
are. Let us know how it goes. We love a good story.
