“Every one of us has been a “slave” to the corporate system,” says drummer Scott Rockenfield. Indeed, the members of Slave To The System have bled for the industry machine: Rockenfield has been performing for years with prog metal powerhouse Queensryche, where he first worked with guitarist/vocalist Kelly Gray, who is also adept in the producer’s seat. Guitarist Damon Johnson and bassist Roman Glick did their time with radio-rock mainstays Brother Cane with Johnson also enjoying a stint performing with Alice Cooper and in 2006 becoming a member of Whiskey Falls (Glick is fulltime bassist for Jackyl). Slave To The System became a musical vacation from the mandatory minutia. Johnson explains, “When we all met for the first time, we were just having a good time jammin'. Within three weeks we had written and recorded a whole album.”
From the powerful buildup of the opening riff on “Stigmata” to the somber tone of “Walk The Line”, Slave To The System grabs you by the ears and doesn’t let go. “Ruby Wednesday” is a strong driving rocker, while the powerful acoustic balladry of “Abyss” and “Live This Life” will have any listener singing along. The ballsy crunch and band-defining lyrics of the title track make it the definitive Slave To The System song. A solid debut album throughout, fans await the rumored completed second album and hope to see STTS on the road again very soon.

QUEENSRŸCHE drummer Scott Rockenfield, SYMPHONY X guitarist Michael Romeo, T-RIDE guitarist Geoff Tyson, SOUL SYCHEDELICS guitarist Evan Wickham have contributed original music to the "terrifying" indie film "Hair of the Dog", which is now available to download on Indieroad. net.
The movie also includes songs from OSI (which features Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater on drums, FATES WARNING guitarist Jim Matheos, Dream Theater/Chroma Key keyboardist-vocalist Kevin Moore), Inergroove and SKULLGRINDER. This is one movie that embraces metal & hard rock.
In "Hair of the Dog", a defense attorney awakens with a black eye and tries to piece together the unsettling flashbacks from the previous night. When he sifts through the after-party remains at his best friend's estate, more disturbing clues are revealed, a sexy and mysterious woman surfaces and the truth rears its ugly head.
The beautiful and buxom Mia Troche, a recent FHM "Digital Darling" contender, also plays a major role in "Hair of the Dog".
The trailer for "Hair of the Dog" can be viewed below. The 70-minute "Making of Hair of the Dog" is also available to download on Indieroad. net and provides an in-depth look at the production including locations, script, casting, musical score, interviews with Scott Rockenfield & Geoff Tyson, special and digital effects and plenty of interviews with cast and crew.
Go to www. IndieRoad. net to download “Hair of the Dog” for $.80 (that’s right eighty cents) and the “Making of Hair of the Dog” for only a dollar.
