In electronics, the slew rate represents the maximum rate of change of a signal at any point in a circuit. Limitations in slew rate capability can give rise to non linear effects in electronic amplifiers.
Biography:
Slew is the new project of Brighton based artist, producer and engineer Cameron Leonard-Schroff, the producer behind pioneering electronica acts Mood Deluxe and Nagual Sound Experiment (NSE).
While both Mood Deluxe and NSE have made huge waves within their respective scenes (psy and dubstep) for their forward thinking ethic, adept engineering and world class production, Slew is an attempt to produce something more urgent, ancient, raw and "to the bone".
Dark, intimate, soul-shuffling beats meet with earth-trembling subsonics and mesmerising, melancholic textures. Nocturnal 2-step infected by the hyperdub virus.
"Slew serves to confront certain sectors of my past, both conceptually and actually. Taking found sound out of context and owning their emergence from the slip-stream world of forgotten audio relics. It is also a spiteful reaction to my other hyper-prodcuced psychedlic projects, being antithesis in many respects. This is my most personal project to date "
