    Fragments of a Microgenius (FOAM) are from Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and make a melodic and noisy blend of Indie / Pop music. .... Leadsinger Iskaa thinks in melodies while the rest of the band gratefully blends her somewhat nervous and slightly dissonant guitar sketches into powerful songs that will make you want to either throw your feet in the air or jam the repeat button of your CD player. .... FOAM's members have a deeply rooted love of pop music. The traces and influences of many diverse and great bands that have changed music as we know it over the past decades can be discovered in the band's output. Think of sounds you know from New York noise pioneers, the songwriting of Manchester scene indie, the ambigious mentality of New Wave, the drive of Californian rock, and the impact of all time greats such as The Beach Boys and The Beatles. .... In 2004, Dutch national Music Magazine OOR labeled FOAM as "a playful, artistic, intellectual, genious popgroup, hardly taking themselves seriously". .... Whatever FOAM does not take too seriously, the dedication to their work is all but serious. After a formative period of some years and the release of a handful of critically acclaimed demos, the band is ready to record their first full length studioproduction. Contrary to commonday practice, the band records the fundaments of their music in a live setting, aiming for an energetic, dynamic and truthfull recording of their work. ....
