"We are Smokin' Barrels and we play Rock 'n Roll!" Thats how we like to open a gig. Well everything's said: We just like to play rock 'n roll and we do this by tributing our songs to great artists like Motörhead, Metallica, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, ....
So this is actually a nice way to say we like to play covers. If you like those artists we mentioned before, be sure to check our playlist out. If you would still like us after that, just come check us out at a show some day!
Smokin' Barrels started as an "after-school" project somewhere in March or April 2007. We were asked to play at a schoolevent, we don't know what it was about, we really didn't care. But the thought of deffecating our school with good old Rock'n Roll made us happy. So we did. Well, Smokin' Barrels was born.
The next months we played at a smaller event for a crowd of maybe a few dozen people. We didn't care, we had fun, the crowd seemed to have a lot of fun so we continued. After a couple of gigs in local café's it seemed people really enjoyed our music. So we decided to build this Myspace page and we came in to contact with a lot of similar bands for our region. These are bands we would really enjoy to play with and there, our goal was set!
So Smokin' Barrels will continue to unleash hell in your nearby café or pub, and we like it!
